NEW JERSEY TAKES AWAY THE RIGHT TO CARRY

Bonzer Wolf A right to carry lawsuit is currently taking place in the state of New Jersey. The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC), and 6 plaintiffs have filed suit against several New Jersey officials for deprivation of civil rights under color of law.
The 6 plaintiffs, who are all private citizens, had their gun permits denied on the grounds that they had not proven “justifiable need” to own a firearm.
One of the plaintiffs is a kidnap victim, another is a part-time sheriff’s deputy, another keeps large amounts of cash in his private business and a fourth is a civilian employee of the FBI who is fearful of attack from a radical Islamic fundamentalist group.
If these people are denied concealed carry firearm permits, then who can legally carry a gun in New Jersey?
New Jersey courts claim that the Second Amendment only applies inside the home. Where is that in the Constitution? “The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Where does it say, “only in the home?”
The Attorney General is defending New Jersey’s ridiculous existing laws and moved to dismiss the case. It is clear that liberals will do anything to limit a person’s right to defend themselves—-even if it means making up a whole new clause in the Constitution.
It seems that no matter how many statistics exist to show that allowing law-abiding citizens to own guns actually reduces violence, the liberals never learn.
Cities that have strong anti-gun laws, like Washington D.C. and Chicago, are far more dangerous than places like Texas, where gun laws are more relaxed.
In fact, increased gun ownership has actually coincided with decreased accidents!
According to the National Center for Health Statistics, gun accident deaths in the United States have been falling, as well as the per capita rate of such accidents. Over the past 20 years, while gun ownership has been increasing at an average rate of more than 4 million new guns registered per year; fatal gun accidents have decreased by 61%.
Liberals believe in a utopian society, where just because good, law-abiding citizens don’t have guns, criminals won’t have them either. They believe that somehow, more stringent gun control will lead to less violence.
This is one of the many reasons why I would not live in New Jersey. I don’t support candidates for President, who come from states like New Jersey, even if the candidate gives lukewarm support for the second amendment. This is too important of an issue. Being a resident of New York, New Jersey or Illinois is a deal killer, when I decide who to supporting for national office.
The culture in those states is a pox on America, which I refuse to spread. Period.

You DO know that most of New Jersey is Republican, no? Apparently not.
And that Texas isn't as densely populated as D.C.? No?
I'm all for the right to carry, but you have a few terribly ignorant views.
"TERRIBLY IGNORANT" AS OPPOSED TO "NICELY IGNORANT"? -BW
I'm not a Republican and I stand by my post. The facts speak for themselves. Texas has the second largest population in the country. The Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, where I live, is the 4th largest media market in the country. Arlington, which is a suburb in the middle of DFW, is the 49th most populous city in the country. Then, there's Houston, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin. You sir/madam are the moron.
I'm a big supporter of the right to carry, a hardcore libertarian, and a NJ resident, and you have not done your research properly. Contrary to your title, NJ has not had a right to carry for a long time. While a NJ politician might tell you that there is a path for civilians to get such a permit, I have never heard of anyone getting one approved. They are only given to ex-military, ex-police, and armored car employees.
Now your statistics might be right, and probably are, but your not taking population density into your argument. Texas might have the second highest population, but it has a much lower population density than NJ, which is the most densely populated state. Now I don't think this is a reason to deny the right to carry, if anything it's more of a reason to have it. However, you have to realize that this is the argument of most liberals, that people carrying around guns in densely populated areas is a bad thing.
Finally, your refusal to support any candidate from NJ is absolutely ignorant. Don't judge an entire population by what you see on Fox News.
A NJ RESIDENT, YET YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE STATE TO ATTEND COLLEGE LIKE MOST NJ RESIDENTS? MORE STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND FROM NJ THAN MD! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? THE CULTURE IN NEW JERSEY PREVENTS ME FROM SUPPORTING A CANDIDATE FROM YOUR STATE FOR PRESIDENT. IT'S INFECTIOUS. BEST THING TO DO IS GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE, LIKE IT APPEARS YOU HAVE DONE TO ATTEND COLLEGE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT, BUT APPARENTLY MOST OF THE COUNTRY AGREES WITH ME. GROVER CLEVELAND (1884) WAS THE LAST PRESIDENT FROM NJ AND THE ONLY ONE EVER ELECTED FROM YOUR STATE!-BW
are you a retarded monkey? Get over your repub versus dem attitude for a moment, pull your head out of your ass and realize that both sides of the aisle want to carry. divisive idiots like you are the reason nothing gets done in this country
HOLY FUCK! GET BACK TO ME WHEN YOU ADVANCE PAST KINDERGARTEN PUNCTUATION AND GRAMMAR AT OLE MISS. DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PAYING FOR TUITION IN OXFORD, BUT IT'S WAY TO MUCH!-BW
I'm not sure if you were talking to me or the author will, but I don't have a "repub versus dem attitude," in fact, I hate both parties, and I believe that deep down most republicans are against the right to carry, and even more democrats are. However, I love the fact that nothing gets done in this country...every time either one of these moronic parties pass a new law, things get worse, civil liberties are further infringed, the debt gets higher, and the government gets bigger. Both sides are equally to blame, so instead of just ranting like a lunatic, why don't you try and educate yourself. You could really use it...and I'm not just talking about your grammar.
I TAKE BACK ALL THOSE BAD THINGS I SAID ABOUT NJ IF YOU ARE FROM THERE! LOL BUT WE KNOW YOU ARE NOT THERE NOW, SO MAYBE LEAVING NJ IS HOW YOU BECAME WISE? I TAKE IT YOU ARE NOT ORANGE AND DON'T HAND OUT WITH SNOOKI? -BW
Get back on your meds Will. Progressives loathe guns. Don't you have cable yet in Mississippi? See the leaning forward MSNBC for details. Divisive? LMAO, That is the favorite word for hypocrite liberals like you who attack the opposition, calling them divisive because they don't agree with your lame point of view. BTW, too much "gets done in this country" on both sides of the aisle. Look at the top of this page and read the words.
Haha, you called me out, I left my state to go to school...doesn't mean I don't think we could field a good candidate though. However, I'd still prefer Ron Paul or Gary Johnson, NJ certainly can't compete with them. I have learned a lot since leaving the state, but have always had the same gun views...and no, I don't hang out with the orange people. :-)
GET THAT COLLEGE DEGREE AND MOVE TO TEXAS. I MOVED HERE 30 YEARS AGO. I TRANSFERRED AGENCIES TO KEEP FROM LEAVING THE STATE AND HAVE NEVER REGRETTED STAYING HERE.
