No Government Can Legislate Evil Out of Society

I’ve received many emails and tweets from people asking why anyone “needs” an AR-15 semi-automatic carbine. They’re all asking the wrong question.  The question that they should be asking is, why do law abiding citizens in 41 states with shall issue or Constitutional concealed carry laws choose to remain unarmed and defenseless?

No reasonable person believes that we can legislate evil out of existence. Anyone who believes that laws will prevent criminal activity is either a moron, a liar or both.  Some of the strictest gun control laws in the world have been in existence in Mexico for decades.  How’s that working out south of our border?  There have been 55,000 gun related homicides in Mexico over the last 5 years.  58,000 American died during the entire Vietnam War that was waged with U.S. combat troops from 1961 until 1975.

Chicago and Washington D.C. have the strictest gun laws in the United States and neither jurisdiction allows any form of handgun carry.  The violent crime rate in both those cities, including murder with firearms, is among the highest in the country.  Twice as many people were murdered with firearms THIS MONTH in Chicago, than were murdered in the Aurora theater on July 20. 

Frankly, I’m finished answering questions from those who have decided that Americans are not smart enough or responsible enough to operate a simple machine, called a firearm.  You can’t reason with gun grabbers. Liberal fascists will never accept any truth that interferes with their ideology.

I worked in law enforcement for over three decades and I can assure you that people don’t need above average intelligence to learn to “run a gun” safely, accurately and tactically under multiple circumstances in many different situations. 

For those of you who have chosen NOT to be a victims by being unarmed and defenseless, here’s a friendly reminder.  If you’re wearing pants you need to be carrying a self defense firearm.  At a minimum, you need to be carrying at least one extra magazine, a flashlight and a knife at ALL times.   

You need carry two guns because if a situation arrives where you need one, you may need another.  I carry a .40S&W caliber or higher caliber as my primary defensive firearm and a .380 or 9mm as a backup.  I comfortably carry both, in both in all weather conditions because I have the correct mindset, developed over four decades.  If you’ve seen me since August 2008, you’ve seen me carrying TWO concealed firearms. 

Make it a practice not to enter GUN FREE ZONES where you can’t be legally armed. Of course we all have occasions when we must disarm to enter gun free zones.  But at least government buildings, airports and most large sporting venues have armed police officers on the duty working to protect the rest of us.  This is not the case in most malls, theaters, restaurants and other retail outlets.

Choose to know the laws so you know when you can legally carry firearms, including GUN FREE ZONE.  There are exceptions, including the most common exception to the Federal Gun Free School Zone law, which allows licensed concealed carry holders to carry within 1,000 feet of any school within the same state where their permit was issued. The same applies to those carrying under the LEOSA in the state you qualified.

You don’t learn new skills in the middle of a gun fight.  Train and practice.  You can train with air soft guns. You can learn and practice the principle of good marksmanship using inexpensive .22 ammo.  Once you learn to competently run your gun and learn marksmanship, then get tactical training.  Spend $1,000 to get trained at Thunder Ranch Texas or a some other reputable tactical training facility. 

Develop the correct mindset, something that is often dangerously absent today. Be prepared.

Legislation is not going to cure the ills of society.  Gun control gives criminals an advantage and puts law abiding innocents at greater risk.  GUN CONTROL does not work. It never has and never will.  There are up to 300 million firearms in America.  By their own admission, the government can’t round up 12 million undocumented aliens.  How many of those 300 million guns do you think the government can round up?

Get real. Get a gun. Get training. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.  The government can’t do it.  When seconds count, the cops are minutes away. It’s not about being a hero, it’s about taking care of yourself and your family and sometimes other innocent people.  I’m not going to insert myself in a situation where I don’t know what’s happening for sure.  But in a mass shooter situation, one armed trained individual can make a huge difference by saving many innocent lives.

For those of you who have been brainwashed into believing that firearms are evil and choose to be unarmed and defenseless, don’t try to take our firearms away.  Those of us who are legally armed in the United States will NEVER give up our firearms.  You’re wasting your time.

We live in the only truly free country in the world. The right to keep and bear firearms is part of our Constitution. The right of law abiding citizens, NOT just the militia , to keep and bear firearms has been upheld by the Supreme Court.  See the Federalist papers for details on intent of the Founding Fathers.

I’m done wasting my time trying to convince liberal fascists that the USA has liberty and freedom unlike any other country in the world BECAUSE of the Second Amendment.  Those of us who choose to use those rights insure that none of us lose them. 

When the shit hits the fan, you liberals need to hit the deck and call 911.  Stay out of our way, because the life we legally armed concealed carriers save may be yours.
