Mayor Bloomberg is the Most Dangerous Man in America

A disgruntled employee was shot and killed by police officers after he allegedly shot several people near the Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan, Mayor Bloomberg said Friday.

A 41-year-old man was declared dead at the scene, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said, and nine other people suffered injuries related the shooting that unfolded around 9 a.m.

Jeffrey Johnson, 53, who had been laid off by apparel company Hazan Import Corp., was the gunman, Kelly said.

Officials said some of the injured may have been shot by police engaged in a gun battle with Mr. Johnson, who lives in Manhattan and worked at the company for six years.

Just minutes before the shooting outside the Empire State Building, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg was talking about their being “too many guns on the streets” on his weekly radio show.

“The argument guns don’t kill people, people kill people is one of the most disingenuous things you can say,” he said shortly before 9 a.m. while discussing more guns control laws that have been proposed in Albany.

“It does take a person to pull the trigger, but if they didn’t have the gun… We are the only developed country in the world with this problem.”

Bloomberg could not be more disingenuous.  There are more than 200 million guns owned by civilians in the United States.  There is a less than zero chance the government could seize a significant number.  Criminals will ALWAYS have guns.  They have them in Great Britain, Canada and Australia where guns are banned by law. 

The answer to the problem is following the Supreme Law of the land.  All states MUST allow trained, responsible civilians to keep and bear arms, which by the way is not only an inalienable right, it’s part of the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Yes, we are the only country in the world with Second Amendment civil rights, but the same can be said for the rest of the Bill of Rights. This is America, we chose to be different in 1776!

All states except Illinois allow some form of concealed carry by law abiding civilians. Forty one states have shall issue or Constitutional carry.  The crime rate in these states has been dropping for over twenty years.  Concealed carry permit holders, as a group, are the most law abiding citizens in the United States.

The shooter in NYC today was armed with a .45 caliber handgun according to Bloomberg.  Initial reports said the suspect was armed with a shotgun.  An unarmed security guard chased the gunman down the street.  An armed civilian or security guard would have been able to do more than chase after the gunman.  CNN says the security guard is a hero because he “slowed the gunman down”.  Two shots to the chest, one to the heard by a legally armed civilian or security guard would have STOPPED the shooter, not just slowed him down.  Guns in trained, law abiding civilian hands save lives. 

Bloomberg is relentlessly working to grad guns from law abiding citizens not only in New York but all over America.  Bloomberg is as responsible for the shooting in NYC this morning as anyone.  Law abiding civilians in New York City are not allowed to protect themselves in one of the most dangerous cities in America.  Civilians in NYC are being denied their Constitutional Second Amendment civil rights because of Bloomberg.

Bloomberg is the most dangerous man in America.  He is the face of liberal fascist gun grabbers in America. Bloomberg is part of the ruling class and he is protected 24/7/365 by armed police officers.  As a private citizen he was and will be when he leaves office, protected by private armed security guards.

Unfortunately, there are not enough handguns carried by law abiding citizens in New York City or any of the other gun banning jurisdictions.  If you’re not a member of the ruling class or can’t afford to hire armed body guards, you are at more risk in NYC than most other places in America.  Chicago, Washington D.C. Los Angeles, Newark and San Francisco are also “gun free” cities, where unarmed, law abiding civilians are most at risk.

Bloomberg is a liar. NYC, the safest big city in America? Not even close.  EVERY other big city in America except for Newark, Chicago and Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Washington D.C. are safer than New York.

Even with Ray Kelly cheating on his crime reporting to DOJ that is a blatantly false statement. Once again, Bloomberg blames “guns” for crime.  Guns save lives and 99.999999999% of the over 200 million civilian owned guns in America are NOT used in crimes. Automobiles kill far more people in U.S. than firearms yet Bloomberg doesn’t call for “car control”.  Though he does advocate “soda control”. 

“Earlier this morning, a man who had been fired from his job about a year ago began shooting. He killed one person, at least nine shot. Some may have been accidentally shot by the police.

I ask everyone to keep victims in their thoughts. This is a terrible tragedy, and it would be no doubt more tragic without the heroic acts of the policemen. Every day, the police put their lives on the line to save lives bravely.

NYC is the safest big city in the country, but we are not immune to the national problem of gun violence. This is the beginning of an investigation. Two are dead — the perpetrator and his victim. He does not appear to have a criminal record [at this time]. We’re just starting this investigation.”
