I’ve had my iPhone 4s (Verizon) for 24 hours and my most pleasant surprise was Siri. The most unpleasant surprise was the battery life, less than 5 hours of actual use! But, there appears to be hope for a better day tomorrow. After reviewing a number of videos on Youtube, I’m going to follow some of the advice shown below. I’ll let you know if there’s any improvement over the next 24 hours.
I’m not disabling the Siri “Raise to Speak” function because I haven’t had any problems with it. Siri is the bomb. Being able to talk to your phone like a real person is the stuff of Sci-Fi.
There is a correction that needs to be made concerning diagnostics and usage in the video.
Diagnostics & Usage setting under Location Services > System Services is just the toggle that allows Diagnostics and Usage to USE location services. It’s possible to have diagnostics enabled but then disable it’s ability to use location services. Disabling this setting won’t affect anything if your diagnostics and usage is disabled. Look under Settings > General > About > (Go to the bottom) Diagnostics and Usage and you’ll see it disabled
