Get Rid of Obamacare by Getting Rid of Obama

I don’t agree with Chief Justice John Roberts and the majority decision on the Affordable Health Care Act. But I do agree that Obamacare is ObamaTax. The job of the Supreme Court is not to legislate but to protect the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

We the people are responsible for electing the liberal statists that enacted the laughable Affordable Care Act.  There is nothing affordable about it. It’s the largest tax increase on middle America in my lifetime.

It’s ironic that Democrats including Obama, told us hundreds of times that Obamacare was not a tax. Obamacare would lower health care costs. The CBO cost estimate is now over twice what Obama told us it would be.  Multiply that number by ten for the real cost.

Justice Roberts and the majority found the law constitutional because it’s a tax. It is a well established precedent that the government has virtually unlimited taxing power.  It’s our job as citizens and voters to elect representatives that won’t tax us to death.  Tax laws are easily changed and we have elections for the House every other year.

It’s not the job of the Supreme Court to bail us out because we don’t take our electoral duties seriously or made bad choices.  Roberts has supported the Bill of Rights before, including Second Amendment civil rights.  He’s not a judical activist.  Any judge that Obama appoints at any federal level is both a liberal and a judicial activist.  We’re stuck with all of them for life! Would you rather have Romney or Obama appointing judges?

It’s time for the people to do their job.  We must elect Constitutionally sound Representatives who represent the will of the people.  If we fail, we have nobody to blame but ourselves. Romney is far from perfect. The GOP made a poor choice as usual.  But it is what it is and it’s him or Obama.

If the ObamaCareTax and the arrogant, above the law, Attorney General Eric Holder, who was held in criminal contempt of Congress today, don’t fire you up to support, campaign for and contribute to candidates committed to following the Constitution, than nothing will. It’s not like the Democrats took over by force.  Sure they support voter fraud, but even without those votes, Obama wins in 2008.

I’m a Libertarian and I will vote for GOP candidate Ted Cruz to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate.  He’s a libertarian leaning conservative.  It’s either him or RINO Dewhurst. Dewhurst represents everything wrong with the GOP.

I contributed to the Romney Campaign to support the full repeal of the ObamaCareTax today.  This Presidential election won’t be decided by Texas. Neither candidate run’s TV ads here.  Texas has been written off as a red state.  The presidential battle in Texas has already been won by Romney.

I’m voting for LP nominee Gary Johnson.  Romney will get the Texas Electoral votes.  If that changes and Obama has any chance of taking Texas, I would hold my nose and vote for Romney. Obama is that bad.

Ohio, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, West Virginia and the other swing states is where my contributions will go.  You don’t have that luxury of voting Libertarian in the swing states that will determine the outcome of the election.

I’m a practical Libertarian and a proud Tea Party patriot.  I don’t agree with my conservative friends on every issue but we agree on the most important issues and all of us are fighting to defend this nation from the tyranny of liberal fascism.

The Supreme Court woke up a sleeping giant today.  This fight is just getting started. Join the NRA and spend a few dollars to support candidates like Ted Cruz in Texas if you want to defeat the ObamaCareTax.  The Democrats have Obamacare now.  They’re coming after your guns next.

Criminals obey “gun control” laws in the same manner politicians follow their oaths of office.

Libertarians Believe in the Constitution as Written by the Founders

Most of the people in the United States now think government can pass laws to keep them safe.  We’ve been brain washed by Hollywood and the main stream media to believe that he more government does, they better life is for everyone.

The education system has failed America. This Obamanation happened because instead of teaching math, science and history, the schools have indoctrinated students with a sense of political correctness, the cancer destroying America. It’s the education system and the media that instilled a sense of entitlement and dependency on our post World War II generations, which laid the foundation for the Statist culture of Marxism, that is administered by the Ruling Class in America today.

I know that I’m part of the the smallest minority in America because I believe in, and pursue, personal freedom while maintaining personal responsibility.  I strongly oppose government interfering in personal, family and business decisions.  Essentially, I believe all Americans should be free to live their lives and pursue their interests as they see fit as long as they do no harm to another.

America was founded on the the principles of liberty and freedom. Yet today the only political party in America that believes in these principles is the Libertarian Party.  Both the Democrats and Republicans think we’re the crazy uncle who you need to keep hidden away from the rest of the family.

Unlike liberals or conservatives, Libertarians advocate a high degree of both personal and economic liberty and responsibly.  Libertarians advocate freedom in economic matters, so we’re in favor of lowering taxes, slashing bureaucratic regulation on business, and charitable — rather than government — welfare.

But Libertarians are also the most tolerant people in America.  We won’t demand laws or restrictions on other people who we may not agree because of personal actions or lifestyles.  We don’t care what color you are, if you’re religious or what you do in your bedroom.  We also don’t give you extra points and privileges because of your race, color, religion or sexual orientation.

Think of Libertarians as a group of people with a “live and let live” mentality and a balanced checkbook.  By the way, when I say we are the smallest minority in America, I’m no exaggerating. There are 311,591,917 people in the USA, yet less than 250,000 of them are Libertarians.  We have no voice because we are ignored by the main stream media, yet we believe in the same principles as our country’s Founding Fathers.  We believe in the Constitution the same as Christians and Jews believe in the Bible and Muslims in the Koran. A true follower cant “pick and choose” the parts they like and disregard the ones they don’t.

The principles of liberty and freedom are the foundation of our country.  Both the Democrats and the Republicans are destroying the greatest country in the world.   If you believe the U.S. Constitution is the foundation of liberty and freedom, and the Supreme law of the land, you can’t be happy with either of the two political parties.

It is not the business of government to make men virtuous or religious, or to preserve the fool from the consequences of his own folly. Government should be repressive no further than is necessary to secure liberty by protecting the equal rights of each from aggression on the part of others, and the moment governmental prohibitions extend beyond this line they are in danger of defeating the very ends they are intended to serve. – Henry George

A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government. – Thomas Jefferson (1801)

There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him. – Robert Heinlein

One of the greatest delusions in the world is the hope that the evils in this world are to be cured by legislation. – Thomas B. Reed (1886)

The more corrupt the state, the more it legislates. – Tacitus

"Common Sense" Live Free or Die

The Second Amendment is not about hunting; it is a political right. Historic context of the Amendment makes it very clear as to why some thought it necessary to write it into our federal constitution; they wanted it protected, and for good reason.

When the British Empire made its first attempt at quelling our first outburst of liberty, they failed. Why did they fail? It was because we were armed, and may I say, unlike any other people in the world at the time. The British did not expect us to be so uppity and free spirited.

And because of us being armed, we finally, through great difficulty and much dedication of our leaders and patriotic soldiers, gained our independence. That is why the Second Amendment was added to our constitution; that we would always remain a free people beholden to no government for our God given rights and liberties.

Nothing raises the hackles of dictators, tyrants, and oligarchs more than the idea of a substantially armed citizenry.

Disarming present or potential opposition has been the fundamental game plan of murderous rulers since Ancient Egypt and Rome.”

From the more complex mass murderers like Adolf Hitler, and Mao, to tin pot lunatics like Idi Amin, the key to seizing power, and then maintaining it, has always been a disarmed opposition.

The late, great Jeff Cooper, the father of modern firearms technique, coined the word “hoplophobe” to describe gun haters and those afraid of guns:

“Well, we know what motivates the hoplophobe. He simply envies the man who can cope where he, the hoplophobe, cannot. A skilled, armed man lives on a plane of security and contentment different from that of others. This is not egalitarian! The man who cannot cut it, envies, fears and sometimes hates the man who can. This is all very clear, it is just a pity that so many people choose to hide their perfidious motivation behind what they claim to be crime control.”

Race War Puts Innocent Americans in Danger

Spike Lee is a dangerous, violent, racist subversive.

An elderly Florida couple is being threatened and inundated with hate mail and unwanted media attention after their home address was posted on Twitter.  The tweet misidentified the couple’s residence as the home of George Zimmerman, the man who shot Trayvon Martin.

William George Zimmerman, the son of the couple under attack, told the Orlando Sentinel that the family fears for their safety, “This is really scary, and I’m concerned for my family.”  Zimmerman and his parents, who are in their 70’s, have no relation to the George Zimmerman, who shot Martin, though they live in the Sanford area.

The tweet was originally posted last week and re-tweeted by thousands of lynch mob minded thugs, including Spike Lee.  Lee has taken down the tweet, but it continues to be re-tweeted by his racist followers.

The couple has left their residence and is living in a hotel in fear of their lives.

This story is disturbing but not surprising.   The mainstream media (MSM) has fueled the flames of this mob mentality of racial hatred.  Their right to do just that is protected by the first amendment.

Lee issued an apology yesterday for tweeting the address of the “innocent” couple.  He didn’t apologize for participating in a conspiracy to stir up a lynch mob to seriously injure or kill George Zimmerman in a “race war”.

Because of this, our Second Amendment rights are more important now than ever.   The police can’t protect you 24/7/365.  Law abiding citizens are most often on their own to defend themselves.  Spike Lee and his thugs have made their intentions known.  Legally arm yourselves and participate in legal self defense training.  There is a need to protect yourself and your family in this violent environment.  As long as this “race war”, lynch mob mentality prevails, and is fostered by the MSM, all Americans are in harm’s way.

Secret Service to Supersede First Amendment

The House of Representatives recently approved a bill that outlaws protests in instances where some government officials are nearby, whether or not you even know it.

The US House of Representatives voted 388-to-3 in favor of H.R. 347 , a bill which is being dubbed the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011. In the bill, Congress officially makes it illegal to trespass on the grounds of the White House, which, on the surface, seems not just harmless and necessary, but somewhat shocking that such a rule isn’t already on the books. The wording in the bill, however, extends to allow the government to go after much more than tourists that transverse the wrought iron White House fence.

Under the act, the government is also given the power to bring charges against Americans engaged in political protest anywhere in the country.

Under current law, White House trespassers are prosecuted under a local ordinance, a Washington, DC legislation that can bring misdemeanor charges for anyone trying to get close to the president without authorization. Under H.R. 347, a federal law will formally be applied to such instances, but will also allow the government to bring charges to protesters, demonstrators and activists at political events and other outings across America.

The new legislation allows prosecutors to charge anyone who enters a building without permission or with the intent to disrupt a government function with a federal offense if Secret Service is on the scene, but the law stretches to include not just the president’s palatial Pennsylvania Avenue home. Under the law, any building or grounds where the president is visiting — even temporarily — is covered, as is any building or grounds “restricted in conjunction with an event designated as a special event of national significance.”

It’s not just the president who would be spared from protesters, either.

Covered under the bill is any person protected by the Secret Service. Although such protection isn’t extended to just everybody, making it a federal offense to even accidently disrupt an event attended by a person with such status essentially crushes whatever currently remains of the right to assemble and peacefully protest.

Hours after the act passed, presidential candidate Rick Santorum was granted Secret Service protection. For the American protester, this indeed means that glitter-bombing the former Pennsylvania senator is officially a very big no-no, but it doesn’t stop with just him. Santorum’s coverage under the Secret Service began on Tuesday, but fellow GOP hopeful Mitt Romney has already been receiving such security. A campaign aide who asked not to be identified confirmed last week to CBS News that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has sought Secret Service protection as well.

In the text of the act, the law is allowed to be used against anyone who knowingly enters or remains in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority to do so, but those grounds are considered any area where someone — rather it’s President Obama, Senator Santorum or Governor Romney — will be temporarily visiting, whether or not the public is even made aware. Entering such a facility is thus outlawed, as is disrupting the orderly conduct of “official functions,” engaging in disorderly conduct “within such proximity to” the event or acting violent to anyone, anywhere near the premises. Under that verbiage, that means a peaceful protest outside a candidate’s concession speech would be a federal offense, but those occurrences covered as special event of national significance don’t just stop there, either. And neither does the list of covered persons that receive protection.

Outside of the current presidential race, the Secret Service is responsible for guarding an array of politicians, even those from outside America. George W Bush is granted protection until ten years after his administration ended, or 2019, and every living president before him is eligible for life-time, federally funded coverage. Visiting heads of state are extended an offer too, and the events sanctioned as those of national significance — a decision that is left up to the US Department of Homeland Security — extends to more than the obvious. While presidential inaugurations and meeting of foreign dignitaries are awarded the title, nearly three dozen events in all have been considered a National Special Security Event (NSSE) since the term was created under President Clinton. Among past events on the DHS-sanctioned NSSE list are Super Bowl XXXVI, the funerals of Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, most State of the Union addresses and the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

With Secret Service protection awarded to visiting dignitaries, this also means, for instance, that the federal government could consider a demonstration against any foreign president on American soil as a violation of federal law, as long as it could be considered disruptive to whatever function is occurring.

United States Representative Justin Amash (MI-03) was one of only three lawmakers to vote against the act when it appeared in the House late Monday. Explaining his take on the act through his official Facebook account on Tuesday, Rep. Amash writes, “The bill expands current law to make it a crime to enter or remain in an area where an official is visiting even if the person does not know it’s illegal to be in that area and has no reason to suspect it’s illegal.”

“Some government officials may need extraordinary protection to ensure their safety. But criminalizing legitimate First Amendment activity — even if that activity is annoying to those government officials — violates our rights,” adds the representative.

Now that the act has overwhelmingly made it through the House, the next set of hands to sift through its pages could very well be President Barack Obama; the US Senate had already passed the bill back on February 6. Less than two months ago, the president approved the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, essentially suspending habeas corpus from American citizens. Could the next order out of the Executive Branch be revoking some of the Bill of Rights? Only if you consider the part about being able to assemble a staple of the First Amendment, really. Don’t worry, though. Obama was, after all, a constitutional law professor. When he signed the NDAA on December 31, he accompanied his signature with a signing statement that let Americans know that, just because he authorized the indefinite detention of Americans didn’t mean he thought it was right.

Should President Obama suspend the right to assemble, Americans might expect another apology to accompany it in which the commander-in-chief condemns the very act he authorizes. If you disagree with such a decision, however, don’t take it to the White House. Sixteen-hundred Pennsylvania Avenue and the vicinity is, of course, covered under this act.
